Automated bending of sheet metal profiles

A customer in sheet metal processing commissioned us to automate the bending of three different profile models. The aim was to streamline production and reduce manual handling.

The result was a robot cell that handles the entire flow from raw material to finished bent profiles that are patterned on pallets. The solution consists of a robot, an edge folding device, four material hedges and safety fences and protection systems. The investment provided the customer with a fully automated process with increased capacity and more consistent quality with a payback period of only 2 years.
